The EZ NipperTM has more spring in the handles and slightly more leverage due to rivet placement. The Classic NipperTM allows for a deeper bite when needed and has stiffer handles which help on harder hooves.

Routine maintenance like cleaning the stops with a small wire brush, blowing out debris from between the bearing surface, and applying a few drops of oil to the bearing surface will help keep your nippers performing at a top level but is not necessary with our oil impregnated bushing in our rivet system. 

Factors to consider would be hand size, hoof size, and hoof hardness. 

14” Racetracks and 12” nippers are lighter with a narrower handle. They also have the smallest blade width @ 1.060”.  This helps with smaller hands and hooves.

The 14” nippers provide a bigger bite with a 1.125” blade width and have more push due to the thicker handles. They work well as a good all around nipper.

The 15” have the biggest bite with a 1.185” blade width. They provide the most leverage because of the longer handle. These are generally used on the largest hooves.

Any G.E. products in question of a warranty claim will be reported to us via the warranty review form by the owner of the tool*.

If our inspection reveals that the product does not meet our standards, we will repair, replace, or credit at our option. General wear and tear, abused, or altered tools are not covered under this warranty.
